The Lodge at Kukui’ula is pleased to announce their second annual Calabash at Kukuiʻula, taking place August 18–23, 2025. Calabash is a week-long celebration featuring global cuisine, exceptional wines and spirits, immersive wellness and movement experiences, and live music from world-renowned artists. The week culminates in the Ho‘ohuli Festival, an unforgettable evening of international food stations, specialty wine pairings, and a show-stopping performance The Paniolo Sessions—a Nashville-style songwriter showcase featuring chart-topping hits and behind-the-scenes stories. Calabash is open exclusively to owners and guests of The Lodge at Kukui’ula.

Calabash Events Include:

  • Monday, Aug 18 | 4:30–8 PM – Taco + Tequila Night with Casa Azul Orgánico: Complimentary tequila tasting, meet & greet, and fan-favorite "ala kine Tacos" dinner.
  • Tuesday, Aug 19 | 3–6 PM – Wine Master Class + Po’alua Hula Mixer: Learn from Master Sommelier Patrick Okubo, followed by a vibrant Polynesian cultural showcase and wine tasting.
  • Wednesday, Aug 20 | 11 AM–2 PM – Champagne + Caviar Brunch at The Farm: Luxurious pairings, guest “caviar curator,” and seasonal farm-to-table dishes by Chef Ben.
  • Thursday, Aug 21 | Evening – “Rum’s Culinary Passport” Chef’s Table: Worldly rum pairings meet bold Brazilian flavors from guest Chef Santi.
  • Friday, Aug 22 | Afternoon – Japanese Spirits Extravaganza: Johnson’s Brothers to bring you an unforgettable evening of fresh fish skills + top-notch Japanese spirits. From Sake and Whiskey to gin and beer.
  • Saturday, Aug 23 | 5:30–8 PM – Hoʻohuli Festival + The Paniolo Sessions: Global food stations + a Nashville-style songwriter showcase featuring chart-topping hits and behind-the-scenes stories.
    • Hoʻohuli Festival – The week will culminate in a grand finale, the Hoʻohuli Festival, featuring a global gastronomic experience with food stations offering cuisine from Spain, Japan, New Zealand, Italy, France, South Africa, and more.
    • The Paniolo Sessions will close out Calabash with performances from renowned singer/songwriters. An intimate evening filled with exquisite dining and a Nashville-style writers’ round, where the hit songwriters will perform their chart-topping songs and share behind-the-scenes stories of what it's like writing No. 1 songs for the world’s biggest artists. A unique and thoughtful experience including top hitmakers Ben Johnson, Ilsey Juber, John Byron and more.
