The Living Well Yoga Guru Series features world-renowned yoga teachers and wellness experts from across the United States who have come to share their practices with guests and members of The Lodge at Kukui‘ula.
Each visiting yogi will conduct a 4 day program offering two yoga practices at morning and sunset, daily meditation, topical discussions, and a variety of enriching activities ranging from mindful eating and qi gong to sound therapy.
Coming together to provide an unparalleled experience, these inspirational leaders aspire to enrich the lives of their participants by guiding them through the healing power of motion, mindfulness and wellness.
October 10-14- Chelsey Korus with Michael Aidala
Chelsey Korus is one of yoga’s foremost teachers and philosophers. She is a strong believer that you can face and overcome any obstacle or challenge by tapping into your inner power through movement.
Chelsea is an avid lifelong learner of numerous movement practices including Anusara, Power Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Acroyoga, as well as martial arts, free form dance, and ballet. She has been teaching yoga since she was 15, and is a triple talent with degrees in Dance, Theater and Vocal Performance.
“In each of us, we have a passionate, wild and fearless self, and yoga is a perfect playground to remember [the way] back to who you are,” Chelsea said in an interview with Parvati Magazine.
Chelsea has been featured in PopSugar, Prevention Magazine, Yoga Journal, Women’s Fitness, Mantra Magazine, Fitness Magazine, Shape, and is one of the top teachers on Wanderlust TV and Yogaglo.
Joining Chelsea will be her partner Michael Aidala, a pioneer of focused holistic movement training who studied Kinesiology and Fitness Development at SUNY Cortland. Mike is also a NFPT Certified Personal Trainer, CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach, and Sports Performance Coach.
October 24-27- Ryan Leier
Known affectionately as Ryan the Lion, Ryan Leier is a passionate ambassador of yoga. He brings a creative energy to his teachings and combines it with a distinct expression and respect of ancient traditions.
Ryan draws inspiration from his family and teachers, which spurs him to be a force of goodwill in his community. He founded Vinyasa Yoga for Youth, an innovative non-profit designed to meet the physical, mental and spiritual needs of youth ages 5 to 22 through the empowering practice of yoga. His life-changing work and dedication to his community earned him a coveted spot as a Lululemon Athletica global ambassador.
Ryan is the founder of One Yoga studios and an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT-500, RCYT) with the highest designation through Yoga Alliance. He believes that through steady practice and devotion, everyone can experience the Oneness of Yoga.
November 21-24 (Thanksgiving)- Gina Caputo
Gina Caputo aims to foster a sense of unity in the cultivation of Integrated Vinyasa, a yoga rooted in intelligent, natural evolutionary patterns that emphasizes the subtle inner work accessed via the physical body and movement.
Gina touches the hearts of everyone she meets and has a passion for empowering others to seize the day and fearlessly face anything that keeps one from their potential. One of her favorite mantras is that it’s not important to be serious, it’s important to be sincere. Her inspirational and playful style of teaching helps her students discover their limitless potential by aiding them in identifying and overcoming obstacles.
Gina is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT-500) through Yoga Alliance and is the founder and director of the Colorado School of Yoga.
